Akante's Pheonix dining table is 2 metres in length and 100cm in width. The upper plate is a 3mm argile coloured ceramic glued upon 8mm of tempered glass. The attraction of this table however, lies not only in its magnificent finish but in its discrete opening mechanism which allows you to expand the upper surface using its 60cm extension. In one small gesture, the extension mechanism lifts, the plate separates in two and glides back underneath leaving an surface of 260cm in length. The elegant crossed table legs are made of black laquered stainless steel, while the upper plate is argile coloured ceramic.
